OUR MISSION
No Founder Should Sell Blind
Selling an e-commerce business is one of the biggest financial decisions a founder will ever make, and most of them go into it blind. They know their revenue, margins, and customers. What they don't know is what a buyer is actually going to scrutinize: how concentrated their traffic is, how dependent the business is on them personally, whether their financials would survive a due diligence process. Nobody tells them until an offer comes in low, or a deal falls apart in diligence, and by then there's no time left to fix anything.
Our mission is to make sure that never happens to another founder. We exist to catch what buyers would catch, months before a buyer ever sees the business, and to make sure no one sells for less than their business is actually worth
OUR VISION
Exit Readiness as Standard Practice
Right now, the exit process for most e-commerce founders looks the same: build the business for years, decide to sell almost overnight, call a broker or get unrealistic valuations on the marketplace, get lowball offers, and find out in real time what's wrong with a business they thought they knew inside out. It's a process built around the sale, not around the founder, and it rewards whoever happens to prepare, not whoever built the best business.
We want to change when that process starts. Our vision is a future where preparing for an exit is just part of running an e-commerce business the way bookkeeping or inventory management already is, so that by the time a founder is ready to sell, there's nothing left for a buyer to find that they didn't already know about and already fix. A founder who works with us should walk into their exit knowing the true value of their business, what's driving that number, long before a buyer ever asks.
OUR STORY
Built From the Buyer’s Side of the Table
Exit Ecom didn't start as an idea for a company. It started as a pattern we couldn't stop noticing.
Before Exit Ecom, our team was on the other side of the table entirely. Through Trend Hijacking, we worked with investors and high-net-worth individuals buying and managing e-commerce businesses, sourcing deals, evaluating them, negotiating acquisitions, and supporting buyers long after the sale closed.
That put us in the room for deal after deal, and one thing kept happening. Good businesses, businesses with real revenue and real customers, kept selling for far less than they should have. Not because the businesses were weak. Because the sellers had no idea what they were walking into.
Founders would come to the table with financials that were half in their head and half in a spreadsheet. They'd have no clear answer for why 70% of their traffic ran through one ad platform while they had multiple marketing channels, or what would happen to the business if they took a month off. They weren't dishonest or careless, they'd simply never been told that these were the things a buyer would use to knock the price down. By the time they found out, in the middle of a negotiation, it was already too late to fix any of it.
We watched sellers leave hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table, again and again, for reasons that were almost always fixable, if only someone had flagged them a few month earlier.
That's the gap Exit Ecom was built to close. Not another marketplace for listing businesses, and not another generic broker waiting for founders to show up ready to sell. An advisory that gets involved early, tells founders honestly what buyers will actually pay and why, and works alongside them to fix what's holding that number down, well before it's time to go to market.
WHY CHOOSE US
Built by Buyers, Driven by Real Data
We've sat on the buyer's side of the table. Through Trend Hijacking, our team has sourced, evaluated, and negotiated e-commerce acquisitions directly. We know exactly what a buyer is looking for, because we've been the buyer.
We tell you the truth about your number, not what you want to hear. Our valuations are built on what buyers actually pay, not inflated marketplace estimates. If your number is lower than you hoped, we'll tell you why, and what to do about it.
We get involved before you're ready to sell. Most advisors show up after you've already decided to sell. We work with founders months, out, when there's still time to fix what's holding the business back.
We run the sale ourselves. When you're ready to go to market, we don't hand you off. We manage buyer outreach, negotiations, and due diligence through to a signed deal.

Pet accessory business
I'd priced my own business in my head for years, and I was actually close. What I didn't know was that three specific things were quietly capping it. Once we fixed those, the number moved a lot more than I expected

I've had valuations before that felt like someone was just trying to get me to sign something. This was the first time someone actually showed me the working behind the number, so I could see it for myself.

Home organization brand
I thought my customer acquisition strategy was rock-solid until they pointed out how reliant we were on a single organic channel. Fixing our retention metrics before going to market added nearly 30% to our final payout and saved the deal during diligence

Golf Training aid business
There was one issue with how concentrated our ad spend was that I genuinely didn't think mattered. Turned out it was costing me six figures. We fixed it over about six weeks, and I had someone checking in the whole way, not just a report and radio silence.
